ok, so as I said I re-read a few of the books and came up with some wacked out ideas.
1) Dumbledore faked his death with some magic spell. When he was talking with Malfoy on top of the tower he tells him, "He cannot kill you if you are already dead." so I think Dumbledore may have known a good way to fake a death with magic. He stunned Harry so he could not interfere with the spell snape was doing because harry did not know what was going on.
2) Dumbledore has a horcrux of some kind or has some pheonix like characters. He tells malfoy a few pages before the above quote that," Killing is not nearly as easy as the innocent believe..." So Dumbledore has killed somebody, gives him the possiblility of creating a horcrux. Also dumbledore is head of the order of the pheonix, so I believe he started it. perhaps he was referring to himself as the pheonix?
3) (my personal favorite) Dumbledore was one of you-know-who's horcrux's. This theory has a lot of holes in it, but I still think it would be fun.
4) He knew that Harry would be motivated to the point he would not be reluctant to kill if he was killed. Giving Harry the extra motivation would allow him to survive, where hesitation would have killed him. or perhaps it was something similar to what Harry's mother did.
well I think that is enough rambling for now. join me next week as I tackle the ending of 'Hero'. Perhaps the arrows went around him?
Regulus Black is probably the person who stole Voldemort's horcrux. Regulus was Sirius' brother. The initials on the locket were RHB, weren't they?
I am still laughing about the 'fucked like a raccoon tied to a railroad track' Wendy. Where the hell did you get that one?
I like the phoenix theory best though. Annnnd, Dubledore was friends with Nicholas Flamel, creator of the Philosopher's Stone and maker of the Elixer of Life...just another thought...
